Women’s Coastal Leadership Event

Now at our second State of the Coast Conference, the Women’s Coastal Leadership Event is an opportunity for women in the coastal field to gather and share stories of struggle and resilience in their careers and encourage other women to pursue careers in coastal leadership. At this year’s conference we will have a panel followed by a live question-and-answer session following the panel:

Halle Parker

 and The Times-Picayune
New Orleans Advocate

Angela Chalk

Healthy Community Services

Dr. Krista Jankowski

Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority

Jessica Dandridge

The Water Collaborative

Su King

Louisiana Legislature, retired analyst

State of the Coast’s inaugural Women’s Coastal Leadership event at our last conference was full of inspiring conversation with some of Louisiana’s most influential women. We hope that you will join us this year.

This event is a woman-focused event that intends an inclusive definition of women. We are welcoming and respectful of women, including trans women and those who are nonbinary, gender non-conforming, and anyone who identifies as a woman in a way that is significant to them. We also welcome allies who are committed to creating environments that are supportive of people who are typically underrepresented in the workplace and beyond.
