Conference Overview
State of the Coast (SOC) is the largest statewide conference of its kind, providing an interdisciplinary forum to exchange timely and relevant information on the dynamic conditions of Gulf Coast communities, environments and economies. This year’s conference is hosted by the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana in partnership with The Water Institute and the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Gulf Research Program is the title sponsor of SOC 2027.
The theme of the 2027 State of the Coast conference is: The Next 100 Years: A Century of Opportunity. As we look back at a century of river management since the Great Flood of 1927, we’ll also be thinking of what’s ahead, about what the future will bring and how best to move forward.
How to sponsor or exhibit
Sponsoring or exhibiting is easy. There are two options for you to choose from. Click the relevant link below to start your application:
Payments may be made by credit card or check. Invoices are available upon check out. Payment must be received prior to booth selection.
Note: While we aim to be inclusive for SOC 2027, we reserve the right to deny your request and refund your payment if we determine that your organization is not a suitable fit.

⇨ How are booths selected?
Booth selection will take place on a first-come, first-serve basis in order of paid sponsorship level. Nonprofit exhibitors will be assigned.
⇨ Can I bring additional people to staff my exhibit booth?
Yes, but all exhibitor staff must be registered to attend the conference.
⇨ What does the booth space include?
Each booth measures 10 feet by 10 feet and includes an 8-foot-tall pipe and drape backdrop, and 3-foot side walls. The booth package includes a 6-foot skirted table and two chairs. An exhibitor packet with more details, including pricing for add-ons, will be provided in fall 2026.
⇨ What is the cancellation policy?
You must submit written notification of intent to cancel prior to February 1, 2026, to receive a refund of 50 percent of the total sponsorship level.
